Baby three at 37 weeks

How far along: 37 weeks

Size of baby: 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches

Feeling:  Ready! I feel like the last 5 weeks go by soooo slow.  Probably because I always think they could come at anytime, but they never do.  My heartburn has been out of control at night time.  I wake up at night about to puke from the acid.  Luckily Tums makes it go away almost immediately.  I'm sure the kids are ready for their mom to get her energy back. We're soaking in as much swimming as we can.

Gender: BOY!! We are so anxious to meet him and see what he looks like

Cravings:   Chocolate.  I drove by Krispy Kreme the other day and had to slam on my brakes and do a hard right turn into there.

Best moment this week: Getting to see his sweet profile at 2 unexpected sonograms.  I went in for my regularly scheduled appointment on Tuesday and she didn't think he was head down so we went to take a peek.  Sure enough, he was laying diagonal.  She moved him a little then told me to keep nudging him in the right direction.  I went back in on Thursday to check his position and my fluid and he was head down! I have quite a bit of fluid that she wasn't concerned about but said it was making it easier for him to move around.  So let's hope he doesn't move around anymore in the next 2 weeks.  He was pretty crammed in there but he has big cheeks and a button nose. Can't wait to kiss them! Dilated to a 1 and induction date is set!

Movement: Lots of pushing his butt out and hiccups.

Sleep: I think I'll get more sleep after he comes than I am right now.  Between heart burn, having to go to the bathroom, kids and just being wide awake, I am getting zero sleep.  Thankfully I've been getting a nap in the afternoon and fall asleep in about 3 seconds when my head hits the pillow.

Maternity clothes: Even those are getting too small

Baby three at 33 weeks

How far along: 33 weeks

Size of baby: A little over 4 pounds and 17 inches (about the size of a pineapple)

Feeling: He's always seemed low but it's getting more uncomfortable as he gets bigger and when I walk a lot.  I need one of those support bands!   This is the part of pregnancy that moves ssoo slow.  We're anxious to meet him but soaking in the moments as a family of 4.

Gender: BOY!! His personalized outfit for the hospital has been ordered and I can't wait to announce it after he's born.

Cravings: Yogurt with fruit and granola in it.

Best moment this week: Getting the rock n play, car seat, swing and more clothes washed and ready.  The nursery is slowly coming together.  Started my bi-weekly OB appointments and he's head down, measuring right on track.

This is a rather embarrassing moment but one I feel needs to be documented- Monday evening/Tuesday morning, I had a couple incidents where I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid.  When it happened for the 3rd time early Tuesday morning, I called the on call doc (which happened to be my doctor).  She assured me it was probably nothing but to head to labor and delivery.  Since Collins was still sleeping, I left Derek home with the kids and went in.  They swabbed and ran a test to check for amniotic fluid and monitored baby and contractions.  Test came back negative for amniotic fluid and they're pretty sure it was just baby pushing on my bladder.  So embarrassing!!!

Movement: Still very active, almost like clock work at 8pm and then randomly throughout the day.  I'm going to miss the baby kicks and movement so much.

Sleep: I've been turning the AC way down at night because I was getting so hot and unable to sleep.  I have to go to the bathroom 1-2 times a night and sometimes it takes a good hour to fall back to sleep.  Ready to be able to sleep on my back and stomach again.

Maternity clothes: Just bought new shorts since he seems lower than my other pregnancies and my non-maternity shorts I got away with when I was pregnant with Brooks, don't work this time around.

Milestones: He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look, and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal.

22 weeks

I'll be 28 weeks this Friday but I since I had this written for KC Moms Blog, I wanted to share it here too.  I've teamed with KC Moms Blog for this pregnancy and to share my experience at the new Birth Place.

How far along: 22 weeks (2/24/17)

Size of baby: Baby weighs almost 1 pound is around 11 inches long.

Feeling: I self-diagnosed myself with bronchitis this week so that’s been fun. My 2 year old had it so it seems logical that my painful cough and wheezing was passed down from him.  I’ve had to use my inhaler here and there and I don’t think there has been a single good nights sleep this week between me and my sons’ coughing.  He’s doing much better after getting his prescription filled so I’m hoping it passes quick for the both of us.

Gender: BOY!! We’ve been calling him by a name for several weeks now but we still aren’t 100%.  We can’t agree on the spelling so we’ll see what we end up deciding.

Cravings: A waffle a day keeps the doctor away.  No? Well, I think I’ve had one just about every morning this past month.  It’s a pregnancy craving I’ve had with all 3 pregnancies.  I’m also loving fruit, especially oranges.

Best moment this week: We signed the kids up for a siblings class and we are all looking forward to attending.  I’m nervous my oldest is going to smother this baby in love and my youngest might attempt to wrestle him as soon as he gets home from the hospital.  So I think a little baby 101 is going to be good for them both.

Movement: He’s very active, especially at night.  His kicks are strong enough that they are felt on the outside which is always fun for others to be able to feel.

Sleep: Not great like I mentioned above.  I’ve been using my pregnancy pillow for a couple weeks now and I always have a love/hate relationship with it.  Comfortable but so hard to maneuver in the middle of the night.

Maternity clothes: Absolutely.  I try to avoid jeans at all cost and have been living in leggings and maternity tops.  My husband rolls his eyes when he sees my pile of black leggings cleaned, folded and ready to wear again for the following week.

Milestones: Baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn.  His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he’s even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums.  His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment *

Baby three at 17 weeks

Poor third child hardly getting any blog recognition.  I was so good about doing weekly updates with the other two so I'm going to try and do better.

How far along: 17 weeks (1/20/17)

Size of baby: Weighs 5 ounces and is 5 inches long from head to bottom. About the size of a turnip.  Collins' gets great joy out of hearing about the baby and what food it is.

Feeling: Still pretty tired but not near as tired as I was the first trimester.  I think the two kids and no more naptimes for the older one play a role in my pure exhaustion come 6pm.

Gender: BOY!! We have our sono in February but we did a genetic blood screen that tells you the gender as well.  It's got a 99% accuracy so I'm pretty confident it's a boy.  We've been calling him by his name but it's still too early to be set on it.  I love it but we were set on a different name for Brooks up until like 30 weeks so we'll see.  It's super cute hearing the kids say his name though.

Cravings: Pickles, green olives, sweet and sour candy, there's really not a food I'll turn down.

Best moment this week: I switched OB's for a couple of reasons so I met her this week and really liked her.  Baby was moving all around so it was difficult to hear his heartbeat for very long but Collins went to the appointment with me and we both loved hearing him.

Movement: I think I felt him for the first time at 16 weeks and 3 days and I have for sure felt him since.  I have to lay down and really focus on feeling it but it's the best feeling in the world.

Sleep: It's time to bust out the pregnancy pillow. It's no longer comfortable to sleep on my stomach and only being allowed to sleep on my side has started to hurt my back.

Maternity clothes: I bought maternity leggings and I'm basically living in them.  My jeans are getting tight so I avoid them at all cost.

Milestones: Past the first trimester a little while back and this week, the baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone and the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker.  He can move his joints and sweat glands are starting to develop. *
