38 weeks

How far along: 38 weeks (8/12/14)

Size of baby: Around 6.8 pounds and over 19 1/2 inches. About the size of a leek. Again, what is a leek?

Feeling: This pregnancy flew by but these last 4 weeks? Snail speed. My patience is dwindling and I'm just ready for him to be here. Except I'm not looking forward to leaving Collins for 3 days in order to actually get him home. I had some contractions Friday morning and was getting somewhat excited but they went away and I was still only a 1 at my appt that day. My ob thinks I'll go fast once they start me on pitocin so I hope she's right. Doesn't look like he's coming before Thursday.

Weight gain: 24 pounds. He was measuring right on track at my appointment.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: Not a huge appetite but still eating a good amount of fruit and sweets.

Best moment this week: Everything checked out great at my appointment on Friday and we are still set for getting induced on Thursday. We spent our last weekend as a family of 3 and went out for ice cream Friday night, out to dinner Saturday night and just enjoyed cuddling and giving Collins 100% of our attention. I only got teary eyed a couple times thinking about her no longer being the baby.

Movement: He's pretty low key during the day and I'm constantly nudging him to make sure he is ok.  But then he's super active from about 8-10pm.  I called the doctor all worried today because I couldn't get him to move much and then of course when I am waiting for them to call back, he finally had some movement.  They said 3 kicks in 30 min or 10 in 2 hours and we hit the 3 kick mark so I didn't end up going in.  And at this moment he has the hiccups and is kicking me like crazy.

Sleep: Back to waking up for a good  hour in the middle of the night, bathroom trips every 3 hours and I can't freaking wait to sleep on my back and stomach again.

Maternity clothes: Absolutely.  And even the maternity clothes are stretched to the max.

Milestones:  He has a firm grasp which we'll be able to test when we hold his hands for the first time and his organs are matured and ready for life outside the womb.

37 weeks

Well it's a good thing my sister gave me a peek at my maternity shoot since I slacked at taking a weekly pic. We did these Saturday at 37 weeks and 5 days.

How far along: 37 weeks (8/5/14)

Size of baby: A bit over 19 inches and 6 1/3 pounds. About the size of a Swiss chard (whatever the heck that is).

Feeling: Some heartburn, a couple Braxton hicks, pressure, shooting pains and a lot of anxiousness for him to come out!! I'm surprised I've had the energy I've had though and feel pretty great for being so close to the end.

Weight gain: 23 pounds. My weight fluctuates like crazy with this pregnancy. Lost a pound this week but I bet when I go in for my 38 week appt, I'll have gained 2+ pounds.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: I'm not a cantaloupe fan but they jumped out at me at the store and I've been chowing down on it. Really, any fruit and candy satisfy this appetite.

Best moment this week: Friday I had my 37 week appt and my doc thought he had dropped since he was measuring the same (I'm guessing at 36 weeks) and I was dilated to a 1 and 40%. Not much but she thought I would be at a 2 at my 38 week appt and a 3 by the time I go in for my induction. We shall see. Saturday, my sister did my maternity shoot and I've only seen the unedited pics but she did SO good. We did a lot of walking, sweating and trying to get Collins to cooperate so I wasn't sure how they would look but I'm so in love with them. And then later that day my sisters and mom through us a baby-q couples shower and holy cow was it cute. I'll be doing a post about that next. We did some shopping at babies r us on Sunday and now I think we are 100% ready for him. Ok maybe 90% because the car seat hasn't been installed and mine and Derek's bags aren't packed.

Movement:  I had a big scare last week when  I was trying to go to sleep and realized he wasn't his active self that evening. After a lot of nudging and still no movement, I raced down to his nursery with the heart doppler. It took longer then I would have liked but I found his heartbeat and then got a couple kicks out of him. I think he's out of room and crammed to the max in there.

Sleep: Occassional insomnia but usually sleeping about 10-7 with 3 bathroom trips. Haven't been taking daily naps but use nap time to kick up my feet and just relax for a couple hours.

Maternity clothes: Getting dressed is the worst part of the day. Hardly anything fits and I refuse to buy maternity clothes this late in the game.

Milestones:  spending the next 2 weeks in the womb allows baby's brain and lungs to fully mature.

36 weeks

How far along: 36 weeks (7/29/14)

Size of baby: 18 1/2 inches and almost 6 pounds.  About the size of a head of romaine lettuce.

Feeling: Like I want this baby out! I didn't have any Braxton hicks contractions this week and I've felt decent but I am ready to meet him.  So hard to do anything with this big ole belly.

Weight gain: 24 pounds.  I have gained 3 less pounds then I did with Collins but I feel so much bigger this time around.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: I can't think of anything I was dying to have this week.  My appetite has went down but I've still been eating plenty of cookies that I made. Meat hasn't been sounding all that great again.

Best moment this week: Scheduling my induction!!  If he doesn't decide to come on his own, we will be induced on August 21st.  I'm due the 26th but I'm anxious to get him out and this date worked the best for our doctor and us.  And having both my kids born on the 21st should make birthdays easier to remember :) She also checked me and she said I might be dilated to a 1 but he's still up pretty high. His room is almost complete and the diaper bag is packed.

Movement:  They sure have been painful the past couple days.  Little guy is out of room and letting me know it.

Sleep: Well big sister is going through a sleep regression or something so sleep hasn't been good but it's not all because of baby. Lots of bathroom trips though.

Maternity clothes: Nothing fits. 2 weeks and 2 days till my belly isn't hanging out the bottom of my shirts and I can button my shorts.

Milestones:  He's shedding the downy hair that covered his body, as well as the vernix caseosa- a waxy substance that protects the skin during its 9 month bath in amniotic fluid. Your baby swallows these substances , along with other secretions, and they form a tar-like black substance called meconium, which the baby passes in his first bowel movement.  At the end of the week, he will be considered "early term." Most likely head down position (yes, he is) and gaining an ounce a day.

35 weeks

Derek gone= horrible self timer pic.  But I got one in!

How far along: 35 weeks (7/22/14)

Size of baby: Over 18 inches (kind of doubt it) and 5 1/4 pounds. About the size of a honeydew melon.

Feeling: Friday morning was a little rough. I kept getting super hot and really weak. I had some contractions off and on but back to normal by afternoon. It was enough to get my butt in gear and get a lot done for the baby this past weekend.

Weight gain: 21.5 pounds. My Ob was gone last week so I saw a different doctor but he said baby was measuring right at 35 weeks so the lack of weight gain wasn't anything to worry about. He said a lot of woman will plateau in weight towards the end so all is good. That was Wednesday and Monday I was up 2 more pounds so we're all good.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: Got my club crackers again at the store. And lots of fruit.

Best moment this week: I was checking things off my list left and right this weekend. His dresser is put together with little tiny clothes washed inside, put together rock n play, pack n play is ready to go in our room, got my travel size bathroom things for hospital, a pajama set for hospital, got him a few outfits and ordered his coming home outfit. Collins seems to be understanding more that baby is coming and she'll point to his car seat when we talk about it. She loves his room and all the baby gear we've been getting out.

Movement:  Can't miss em. My stomach literally bulges as he sticks his butt up or does who knows what. Feeling some movement down south so wondering if he's dropped. Doesn't look like it but feels like it!

Sleep: either up for a good hour in the middle of the night or up for the day around 6:30. Losing energy and tired by 7pm. Even with a nap! Looking forward to not having to wake up and shift pillows around every time I move at night. I'll enjoy this crappy sleep while I can though. I know it's gonna be worse when he comes.

Maternity clothes: Everything is getting snug and I'm too close to the end to buy new clothes. I'll just keep yanking my shirts down and wearing my comfy clothes.

Milestones:  Because he is snug in there, he isn't likely to be doing dramatic somersaults.  The amount of movement should remain the same though.  His kidneys are fully developed and his liver can process some waste products.  Basic physical development is now mostly complete and  his main job over the next few weeks is to put on weight.

34 weeks

Sometimes, a video is just as good as a pic. Here's a glimpse at this active fella:

How far along: 34 weeks (7/15/14)

Size of baby: 4 and 3/4 pounds and almost 18 inches. About the size of a cantaloupe. Collins' was 18 in. at birth so we'll see how they compare, I'm guessing they'll be very close in weight and length.

Feeling: having Braxton hicks contractions off and on and some pressure down south too. Anxious to see when he comes. I'm counting down the weeks. I really can't complain too much because I've been feeling really good but I'm ready to bring him home!

Weight gain: 21.5 pounds. I eat all day long so I'm a little surprised I haven't gained more. I think I'll bring it up to the doctor because I haven't gained much in the past 3 weeks and I want to be sure baby is growing.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: chocolate, sweets and fruit. Same ole, same ole cravings.

Best moment this week: Getting the car seat out (hasn't been installed yet) and shopping for things for the nursery. Collins is loving playing in the swing, car seat and crib so hopefully she does ok when it's Brooks' turn to use them. She knows their for him and likes putting her baby dolls in them so crossing my fingers we aren't setting ourselves up for disaster.

Movement: Still kicking, moving and punching away.

Sleep: Falling asleep isn't a problem but between bathroom trips and just being wide awake at 4:30am for a good hour, it could be better. I keep catching myself on my back again and am looking forward to being able to sleep on my stomach and back without depriving the baby of oxygen again.

Maternity clothes: Everyone talks about how miserable being pregnant in the summer is but I'm liking the summer maternity clothes way more then the winter. Yeah, I get hot but I'll take tank tops and dresses over maternity jeans any day.

Milestones:  fat layers- which will regulate body temperature after birth- are filling your baby out, making him rounder. His skin is becoming smoother then ever.  The central nervous system is maturing and lungs continue to mature as well. Babies born between 34-37 weeks who have no health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the nicu but usually do just as fine as a full term baby.

33 weeks

How far along: 33 weeks (7/8/14)

Size of baby: Just over 17 in and 4 lbs. About the size of a pineapple.

Feeling: Trying to get some things checked off the list so my stress level can come down. I had some Braxton hicks contractions this week and a slight headache one day.  Feeling large and in charge. Getting harder to walk for an extended amount of time and Collins has been doing a lot of walking and holding my hand because it's just too much to carry her AND this big belly.

Weight gain: 21 pounds

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: Chocolate and watermelon. But not together.

Best moment this week: Had an appointment this week and he is head down and heart rate is upper 140s. Head is down. We talked about induction options and will probably set the date next appt. I am due  August 26 and I think we will induce the 25th if he doesn't come before that. With Derek traveling and trying to figure out plans for Collins, I'm all about getting induced. I had a great experience the last time so I'm hoping for the same the second time around. If he comes on his own, that's awesome, but we'll schedule his eviction just in case.

Movement: Don't get me wrong, I LOVE feeling him move and watching my belly go crazy with every punch and kick, but surely he is running out of room and is gonna take it easy soon?! He gets the hiccups quite a bit and is taking up my whole belly. I feel pressure down low and kicks up high and punches in my ribs. I know I'll miss all this though.

Sleep: Not so good. I toss and turn, pee way too much and just lay there wide awake for a good hour in the middle of the night thinking about things I need to get done.

Maternity clothes: Same as last week. Gotta love old navy and their active wear.

Milestones:  His skeleton is hardening. The bones in the skull aren't fused together, which allowes them to move and slightly overlap. This makes it easier for the baby to fit through the birth canal.

32 weeks

I am so over these weekly pics. Next time, IF there is a next time, I'm gonna shoot for once a month belly pics. And not wearing the same thing because changing for pics is asking way too much.

How far along: 32 weeks (7/1/14)

Size of baby: 3.75 pounds and 16.7 inches long. About the size of a large jicama.

Feeling: Starting to stress out about his arrival. Who's gonna watch Collins while we are in the hospital? What am I going to wear home? What is Brooks going to wear home? Dreading leaving Collins and feeling guilty over how her life is about to be rocked.  Still have quite a few little things we need to get before he arrives. Other then all these thoughts going through my head, I had a good week. Some heartburn here and there and easily exhausted but can't complain too much.

Weight gain: Weighing myself after the 4th of July weekend was a bad idea. Up 21 pounds.

Gender: BOY!! Brooks Anthony.

Cravings: Way too many sweets were consumed this week. And fruit is still a favorite around here as well.

Best moment this week: His nursery is finally coming along. We got his bedding and I ordered his dresser yesterday. I am absolutely loving his room.

Movement: Wowza there are some strong kicks, turns and punches. Sometimes I swear he is going to bust right out of there.

Sleep: Numerous bathroom trips and a couple sleepless nights thinking about things I need to do. Good thing I get to nap every day!

Maternity clothes: If I actually get dressed then it's usually my go to non maternity Old Navy linen shorts paired with a maternity tank top. T-shirts are out of the question now.

Milestones:  Gaining about a pound a week (ugh more like 4 this week) with nearly half of that going to the baby (let's hope more like ALL of it).  In fact, he will gain a third to half of his birth weight in the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for life outside the womb. He has fingernails, toenails and hair and his skin is becoming smooth and soft.

31 weeks and his name!!

How far along: 31 weeks (6/24/14)

Size of baby:  Over 16 inches long and around 3.3 pounds.  About the size of a coconut.

Feeling: Well I had Braxton hicks contractions for the first time yesterday at 31 weeks and 6 days.  I don't remember having them with Collins but my doctor warned me I probably would this time around.  We were gone a lot of the day so I wasn't drinking as much water as I usually do which is what I think caused them.  They were off and on for a couple hours and I drank lots of water and they finally stopped. Makes me realize just how close we are to meeting this little fella.  Heartburn was pretty bad at the end of the week too.

Weight gain: 17.5 pounds.  I just might gain less then I did with Collins. Woo hoo!

Gender: BOY!! My sister got him this adorable blanket and we can finally announce his name!
Brooks Anthony
I've always loved the name Brooks but debated using it since Collins' name ends in s.  We couldn't stop going back to it so we said the heck with it.  We love it and that's all that matters.  Anthony is Derek's middle name, his dad's middle name, his grandpa's name, etc. It's also my brothers name, grandpa'a name, etc. So family tradition on both sides.

Cravings: I finally got my s'mores fix! I might have had more then 1 too. Their just so good when they touch your lips.

Best moment this week: Collins' had her head on my stomach and I told her the baby was kicking her.  She sat up and put her foot on my belly like she was kicking him.  Too funny.

Movement: I wouldn't say as much but still a ton.  Guessing he is starting to run out of room.

Sleep: Sometimes I consider wearing depends to bed so I don't have to constantly get out of bed to go.  But that's gross so I don't.  We transitioned Collins to a toddler bed so I have been losing sleep over watching her on the monitor.  She's done awesome, I'm just paranoid of her falling off.

Maternity clothes: Just bought my 5th pair of my favorite non maternity Old Navy shorts.  So light and comfy.  Gotta buy bigger sizes in the shorts and tank tops though.

Milestones:  He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath the skin.

30 weeks

How far along: 30 weeks (6/17/14)

Size of baby:  Roughly 15.7 inches and almost 3 pounds.  About the size of a head of cabbage.

Feeling: Pretty great! I don't ever get heartburn but I think I've been having some.  Good thing Derek buys Tums in bulk and has been nice enough to share.

Weight gain: Up 16 pounds at my doctor visit.

Gender: BOY!! The name reveal is coming! My sister ordered him a personalized gift so as soon as I get it (hopefully this week), I will share :)

Cravings: Can't think of anything I had to have this week. I wish I could skip meals and just eat desserts because nothing ever sounds good. Thinking of dinner ideas for the week is pure torture. And I could easily be a vegetarian right now.

Best moment this week: Went to the doctor and got to hear his heartbeat.  It was 180 was seems high to me but she didn't say anything.  We also talked about when to head to the hospital if I start having contractions and got our preadmission paperwork.  It's getting real folks.

Movement: Just watch my stomach and I can almost guarantee you'll see some movement.  So crazy to SEE him moving inside.

Sleep: Numerous bathroom trips but sleeping pretty good.

Maternity clothes: I definitely go for the maternity tanks over the non maternity tanks when getting dressed but can fit into both.  The non maternity tanks and my t-shirts are getting short so I save those for when I'm at home.  All my shorts are non maternity but a size bigger then normal.

Milestones:  His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen.  Even after birth, he'll keep them closed for a good part of the day (let's hope).  He will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision and only make out objects a few inches from his face.

Thursday, June 19, 2014

28 Weeks

How far along: 28 weeks (6/3/14)

Size of baby:  14.8 inches and 2 1/4 pounds. About the size of an eggplant.

Feeling: I was bummed to have to take the 3 hour glucose test but it wasn't too bad and I had a nice morning to myself.  Even if it was at the doctors office getting blood taken every hour and drinking that awful drink again.  Some lower back pain has started in too.

Weight gain: 17 pounds.  Staying right on track of where I want to be.  Less weight gained equals less weight to lose.

Gender: BOY!!  And we had a name change this week which is exactly why I am scared to announce. We went back to an original name that we liked so I'm pretty certain we are set with it now.  But I'm still not sure if we should announce in fear of it changing.  It starts with a B now instead of D.  Driving you nuts?

Cravings: I tried to take it easy on the sweets until my glucose test was over but I still did some serious damage to Oreos.

Best moment this week: Passing my 3 hour glucose test!!! Usually baby boy gets shy (or stubborn) when people try to feel him kick but he kicked a ton for Derek one night and all my friends got to feel him at our girls/willies reunion day.

Movement: He sure is getting strong. I can't wait to see if he is this active after he is born.  I sure hope not because we might never sleep around here.

Sleep: Having to pee 2+ times a night is really getting old.  Sleeping on my back and stomach sounds amazing right about now too.  I occasionally wake up on my back and debate staying but since baby can't get good oxygen that wait, I take one for the team and roll to my side.

Maternity clothes: Been living in non maternity athletic shirts and tanks, just a size larger.  Sporting the maternity dresses and tanks on the weekends though.

Milestones:  He can blink his eyes which now sport lashes. With increasingly developed eyesight, he may be able to see the light that filters through the womb. He's developing billions of  neurons in the brain and gaining weight to prepare for life outside the womb.

29 weeks

Taking a weekly pic is turning out to be way harder then it probably should be.  Sorry dude.

How far along: 29 weeks (6/10/14)

Size of baby:  2 1/2 pounds and a tad over 15 inches.  About the size of a butternut squash.

Feeling: Some heartburn here and there and I think only 1 headache this week.  Having some sharp back pains and it's getting harder and harder to get off the floor when I am playing with Collins.

Weight gain: Scale still reading 17 pounds.

Gender: BOY!!  I signed his name on Derek's father's day card so it's basically official.  Maybe I'll share next week.  Or maybe I'll torture you and wait till he's born.

Cravings: I polished off 2 sleeves of Town House buttery crackers in 2 days.  Yep, 1 sleeve a day and that was AFTER I ate lunch.  And sweets always sound good.

Best moment this week: Getting the nursery painted! Our walls were a real b*tch and we almost didn't go through with the stripes but Derek pushed through (on Father's Day I might add) and I am so in love with them.  I constantly go in there and look at them.  Can't wait to get the furniture and decorations up now.  Oh and maybe put a baby in there.

Movement: As much as this guy moves, I'll be totally shocked if he likes being swaddled. And he likes to wait till I want to go to sleep to really get crazy in there.

Sleep: I finally busted the pregnancy pillow back out.  And pregnancy Charlie horses are not a myth.  I am terrified to stretch my legs in the morning because of them.  Oh the pain. Naps are pretty mandatory too.  I started watching my 5 year old nephew for the summer so we are staying extra busy.  We all crash in the afternoon.

Maternity clothes: Same as last week.  99% of the time I am in workout shorts and a tank top.  I assure you that there is no working out going on though.

Milestones:  Muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain.

27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks (5/27/14)

Size of baby:  14 1/2 inches long and almost 2 pounds.  About the size of a head of cauliflower

Feeling: A little bummed since failing my glucose test.  I failed it the first time with Collins as well but I really didn't see it coming this time around.  I don't eat near as much sugar as I did when I was pregnant with her.  Hopefully I pass the 3 hour test like I did with her.  We shall find out on Wednesday.

Weight gain: 16 pounds.  I feel so much bigger this time around but I just looked at my pregnancy posts from Collins and I am exactly where I was with her.  Going to try and only gain 1 pound a week from here on out. He's measuring 1 week ahead but Colllins always was too.

Gender: BOY!!

Cravings: Haven't got my s'mores fix yet. But I did get some sopapillas at my birthday dinner and they really hit the spot.

Best moment this week: I can't think of anything baby specific but his kicks and movement never get old.  And Collins lifting up my shirt to give baby brother a kiss.

Movement: This boy is an active fella.  I wish Collins understand what was going on when she is laying against my belly and he kicks her.

Sleep: Besides the bathroom trips, I sleep pretty good.  But if I wake up anytime after about 3am, it's a bit of a struggle to fall back asleep.  And our room has been SO bright in the morning so I've been waking up around 6:30-7 (even though Collins sleeps till about 7:30-8).

Maternity clothes: I went on a birthday shopping spree and got some maternity and some non maternity.  I did finally buy a maternity swim suit though. I've been wearing hand me down ones or non maternity ones but they just don't cover the belly like I would like.

Milestones:  He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals (let's hope these change when he arrives cause he likes to party in the middle of the night), is opening and closing his eyes and maybe even sucking on his fingers.  His brain is very active now and even though his lungs are immature, they are capable of functioning with a lot of medical help if he were to be born now.  Stay put young man! Hiccups may be common now.

26 weeks

How far along: 26 weeks (5/20/14)

Size of baby:  14 inches and 1 2/3 pounds. About the size of a scallion.

Feeling: It's been a bit of an emotional week. On 2 different occasions the tears started rolling. No reasons and their not easy to stop. Poor Derek :) Couple headaches here and there.  I don't know if I'm more out of shape this pregnancy or if my asthma is still bothering me a little bit but I am easily out of breath. Not so bad that I need to take my inhaler but Derek usually has to push Collins in the stroller up the hills on our nightly walks.

Weight gain: um my scale just said 16 pounds.  I'm gonna blame the holiday weekend and that it's the end of the day.  Let's pray that's down about 5 pounds by my appointment in the morning.

Gender: BOY!!

Cravings: S'mores, had a bowl of peanut butter captain crunch every morning this week and not gonna lie, I really wanted some alcohol this Memorial weekend. Not drinking during the summertime is rough.

Best moment this week: Listening to Collins try and say his name.

Movement: At this point of the pregnancy, I'd be concerned if I didn't feel movement. Some movement up high sometimes way low. I'm guessing he is head down and anxious to get measurements tomorrow.

Sleep: Having a bit of a hard time getting comfortable. I think it's time to bust the pregnancy pillow back out. I can't believe I haven't yet but I usually forget until I am in bed and then I'm way too lazy to get up and get it. Some leg cramping and multiple bathroom trips aren't helping the situation either.

Maternity clothes: For the most part. Busted out the maternity swim suits this weekend too. I have a non maternity tankini that I wore but it's getting a bit too short. Nobody needs to see this pale belly.

Milestones: Network of nerves in his ears are better developed so he may be able to hear not only my voice, but noises around me and other people.  Inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid. These breathing movements are essential for the development of the lungs. Sorry fella but I have to share that your testicles are beginning to descend into your scrotum. Oh the joys of having a boy :)

25 Weeks

How far along: 25 Weeks (5/13/14)

Size of baby:  Around 13 1/2 inches and a pound a half. About the size of a rutabaga.  Start packing on the pounds baby!!

Feeling: So much better. I still had a little cough during the night at the beginning of the week but I think it has finally went away.  I did have a headache or 2 nothing too bad.  I possibly had a Braxton hick contraction today. I hadn't drank much water so that's probably what brought it on.  I never had any with Collins so I'm not even positive I had one. I had some pain, lets just say that.

Weight gain: I honestly haven't weighed myself this week and it's just too far for me to go do right now.  I would guess around 11 pounds. My appetite is definitely coming back and the belly is getting quite large.

Gender: BOY!!  Poor kid still doesn't have a 100% for sure name. I'll give you a hint, it starts with D if we use the one we have been talking about.

Cravings:  Sugary things.  Donuts, popsicles, etc. Let's hope I pass my glucose test next week.

Best moment this week: We got Collins a toddler bed so operation nursery and Collins big girl room are going to be underway.  I found a dresser on Craigslist this weekend that I am hoping we can go pick up and I can paint for the nursery.

Movement: Oh yes.  I know I just said last week that I thought he was still pretty low but I have felt him up much higher this week. It's crazy that he is almost his length he will be at birth but still has a lot of weight to gain.

Sleep: Decent. Derek was out of town almost the whole week so I never sleep good when I am alone but luckily Amy and the kids came for the weekend and Paxton and Harper took turns sleeping with me.  And still peeing 1-3 times a night.

Maternity clothes: Stupid Kansas weather. Last week it was in the 80s and this week it was in the 60s. Had to bust out the maternity jeans and long sleeve shirts again.

Milestones: Starting to exchange the long lean look for some baby fat. As this happens, the wrinkled skin will smooth out and he will start looking more like a newborn.  He might be growing hair and if you could see it, you'd be able to discern its color and texture.
