Holiday wear

I am slightly obsessed with holiday attire. Collins was decked out in some kind of orange or black most of October. Here are a few of her Halloween outfits.

The Halloween clothes have been tucked away and the Thanksgiving and Christmas ones are hung in her closet. She's already worn a turkey shirt.

The bow fits a little better this year but I want that tiny baby back!

 Cheers to the holiday season!

Sunday funday

Ummm I guess this never posted. This was the Sunday before Halloween...

Holidays are kind of a big deal around here. And having a kid makes me want to make them an even bigger deal. So on Sunday, I invited all the family over to make sugar cookies, eat soup and carve pumpkins.

First off was sugar cookies and caramel apples.

            snack time for the kiddos

Then after dinner we got busy on the pumpkins. Amber and Mike picked way too difficult things to carve so theirs didn't turn out. Guess they should have stuck to the jack o lanterns like me and Derek. Collins and Aiden wanted no part in cleaning out the pumpkins. Fun haters!!

The finished pumpkins. My pumpkin was Collins. Three bottom teeth and a big bow.

More Halloween posts to come! Happy Halloween Eve!

Group O'Dell Pumpkin Patch

My brother works for the best realtors around. Not only are the O'Dell's the sweetest people, they put on some legit holiday parties. They treat their clients and family (or both for us) so well. From breakfast with Santa, Easter egg hunt, random gifts, etc.  This weekend they hosted a Fall festival at a nearby pumpkin patch. There were bounce houses, face painting, s'mores, apple cider donuts and much much more. We'll defintely make this pumpkin patch a yearly trip. Thanks Group O'Dell for such a fun day.

Terrified of the goats. She would go limp and gasp. We might have kept doing it cause it was so funny.

Daycare Halloween Party

My neighbor and I put together a Halloween party for our daycares on Friday. We luckily kept it simple because after getting 5 kids in their costumes (1 came already dressed) and hauling them outside for pictures, I was sweating like a pregnant lady. Ian and Gage didn't have school so I watched them but normally I only watch 2-4 of these kids a day.

Once my neighbor got here with her 2 little girls and little girl she babysits (her niece), we made some Halloween crafts, read Halloween stories and had pizza for lunch. I was too busy with 2 cranky toddlers to take many pictures but I think it's safe to say they all had a good time. I don't think I'll watch all 6 of them again till after Collins comes. My back has never hurt as bad as it did that afternoon and evening. It was all worth it to see them in their adorable costumes though. Can't wait to do it again next year with Collins!

Pumpkin Carving 2011

Tonight we had dinner and carved pumpkins over at my sister’s house. I always pick one that is way harder then my non artistic self can do and usually want to throw it across the room before I finish. I pulled through and had great help from Aiden though.halloween6halloween3

The finished products. Derek’s, mine and Amber’s. Nice work guys!

The Pumpkin Patch

*If you read my sisters blog, you might want to skip mine. I stole all her pics so you’ve seen everything I am about to post*
Last Saturday while we were in El Dorado, we went to Walter’s Pumpkin Patch. I think I get more excited then the kids about going to this pumpkin patch. I thought this was my 3rd year going but looking back at pics, I went twice 2 years ago and not at all last year.

We got there early afternoon and it was in the 80s. When we left, it was in the 60s. That’s good ole Kansas for ya. It is such a fun pumpkin patch. There are tons of things for us the kids to do, amazing food and the friendliest workers.

Don’t let Harper fool you, she tried jumping out of this after Amy took this picture. She rode on the tractor next to the driver with her mom

I don’t’ know if it’s because I am about 15 lbs heavier, out of shape, Paxton weights about 20 more lbs or all of the above but these bikes used to be my favorite and I had to push the thing after awhile this year! FYI- I made it further then my mom though!

These bikes were way easier but we felt like clowns!  Can you tell us adults had just as much fun as the kids?
