How far along? 15 weeks
Size of baby: 4-4.5 in. and 1.75 oz. About the size of an orange
Weight gain: 3 pounds. I feel like I have gained 20!
Maternity clothes: Still the bellaband with my jeans and occasionally a maternity shirt but their still too loose.
Stretch marks: Nope. Rub, rub, rubbin that cocoa butter lotion on twice a day
Sleep:SO much better since my awesome siblings got me the boppy body pillow. That thing is my best friend. Still waking a few times a night to use the restroom though.
Symptoms: Occasionally cramping but doctor said that's just everything stretching and growing and completely normal. Gotta make some room for that growing baby!
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat today! 152-156bpm
Movement: Nope. I'm dying to feel it
Food cravings: There wasn't anything this week I HAD to have. I might have made Derek go get me an ice cream sandwich Friday night but I haven't been too demanding besides that night.
Gender: June 29! Derek is determined it's a boy and I am completely clueless since hearing the heartbeat today and it's not as high anymore. Doctor said 120-160bpm is normal for this time so technically I am on the higher end but she said not to believe the high heart rate means girls and low heart rate means boy. So today I am saying boy.
What I miss: My jeans being able to fit! The bellaband works pretty good but I would rather be able to button my jeans. Don't think it will be too much longer before I bust out the maternity jeans.
Milestones: In 2nd trimester. 25 weeks to go!
I found your blog on Kelly's Korner!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your sweet little one! I'm due a few weeks after you on December 6th! Since our due dates are so close, I'm looking forward to reading about your pregnancy journey!
Congratulations, again, and best of luck! :)
You look so cute! Both of my boys were 'high' and Claire was actually a little lower than them but not too low so I don't really trust that test. You should try the string test with the pencil, thread, and needle. I bet you start feeling flutters within the next week or two!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I mentioned this to you before, but I preferred the bella band with maternity jeans over using it with my regular jeans. It was just more comfortable and seemed to hold the pants up better. And actually I had a couple of maternity tanks that I liked better than the bella band, made by the same company. I think I have two white ones and a black one. If you have any interest in using them let me know, I can bring my maternity clothes box over and you can go through it!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing as Ashley, when your bump isn't huge but too big for regular pants. I was so excited to b in maternity clothes the first pregnancy and the second I was holding on to regular clothes as much as possible!
ReplyDeleteThanks girls! I will have to try the bella band over my maternity jeans because their still too big. I know they'll be more comfortable then my jeans though! Megan, I am trying to hold off as long as possible on the maternity clothes. Ashley, I might take you up on the maternity clothes. My sisters selection isn't as big as I thought.
